Sometimes We Have To Just Step Away...
The other day, I found myself thinking about what we used to call the “good old days” in business, and honestly, those days don’t look the same anymore.
There’s a new generation out here doing some amazing things—organized, financially smart, and really making their mark. And I love seeing it.But with all that movement, growth, and responsibility, one thing still hasn’t changed, we can get so busy taking care of everything and everyone else that we forget to take care of ourselves.
Because the truth is, you can’t pour into your family, your business, or your team if you’re running on empty. At some point, you’ve got to pause and check in with yourself.
Sometimes that just means being honest about what’s working, what’s not, what you need, and what you’ve been putting off. Along the way, we’re going to mess up. We’re going to have moments where we feel frustrated, disappointed or downright mad at ourselves. That’s part of it.
Zig Ziglar said “Winners are ex-losers who got mad and decided to do something about it.”
And that’s exactly what it is. You feel it, you shake it off, and you keep moving. Sometimes the best thing you can do is step away for a minute.
Not quit. Not give up. Just, pause.
Take a day. Take a weekend if you can. Breathe. Reset. Get your mind back where it needs to be.
Relax. Reflect. Rejuvenate.
And for those of us who remember 😊
let Calgon take you away.
