April Reset: Check In, Not Check Out

April always feels like a quiet checkpoint to me. The year is no longer “new,” the goals we set in January have either picked up momentum… or gotten a little quiet. And that’s okay. This is the time to check in with yourself, not judge, not overthink, but simply ask, “Am I still moving toward my 10?” Life doesn’t always follow the timeline we planned. Things shift, priorities change, and sometimes we get tired. But none of that means you’re off track. It just means you’re human. Progress isn’t always loud; it’s often found in the small decisions you make every day to keep going. What I’ve learned is you don’t need to start over; you just need to realign. April is your reminder that it’s not too late to refocus, reset your energy, and recommit to what matters most. Maybe your “10” looks a little different now than it did a few months ago, that’s growth. Give yourself permission to adjust without giving up. Take a breath, make one clear move forward, and build from there. B...

Sometimes We Have To Just Step Away...

The other day, I found myself thinking about what we used to call the “good old days” in business, and honestly, those days don’t look the same anymore. There’s a new generation out here doing some amazing things—organized, financially smart, and really making their mark. And I love seeing it. But with all that movement, growth, and responsibility, one thing still hasn’t changed, we can get so busy taking care of everything and everyone else that we forget to take care of ourselves. Because the truth is, you can’t pour into your family, your business, or your team if you’re running on empty. At some point, you’ve got to pause and check in with yourself. Sometimes that just means being honest about what’s working, what’s not, what you need, and what you’ve been putting off. Along the way, we’re going to mess up. We’re going to have moments where we feel frustrated, disappointed or downright mad at ourselves. That’s part of it. Zig Ziglar said “Winners are ex-losers who got mad and deci...

The World Doesn’t Need Louder Leaders… It Needs Steadier Ones

The world is moving faster, challenges are showing up more often, and many of us are being asked to lead through uncertainty. Strong leadership doesn’t always come from the loudest voice in the room, it often comes from the steady voices that bring encouragement, clarity, and resilience when people need it most. I’m especially grateful for the women who lead with strength, compassion, and the ability to keep people moving forward even during challenging times. Leadership today is less about perfection and more about progress lifting others, creating stability, and helping people move a little closer to their “10” each day. Honestly, the world could use more of that kind of leadership right now. Question for reflection: What leadership qualities do you believe people need most right now? Women in Leadership: Lessons in Strength, Growth, and Resilience

By: Anita Starks, Get2ten Wellness March is a time to recognize the impact and influence of women who lead with strength, purpose, and resilience. Throughout my professional journey, I have been truly blessed to be surrounded by remarkable women who poured into my life both personally and professionally. Many served as mentors in business and in faith, teaching me how to navigate both success and failure with grace, confidence, and integrity. No matter the circumstance, they always encouraged me to stand tall and keep moving forward. In honor of Women's History Month, I want to offer a heartfelt thank you to those women whose guidance, wisdom, and encouragement helped shape the leader I am today. Women's History Month gives us a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the leadership lessons that continue to shape communities, organizations, and future generations. Leadership is about growth, service, and helping others reach their highest potential. Women across industries consi...
